The Mag-Lite Emergency Chronograph
I wanted to make a watch, a special watch,
which kind, I didn’t know. It had to be more
than just a tool to keep time.
Then, after reading our course material, I started
thinking about a watch with an emergency function.
A watch for hikers, nature-photographers and
other people out in the wild, that
they could use if they were in danger
- an emergency transmitter watch.
Picture a photographer, hiking with his camera
in some remote location
- his cell phone is out of service.
He stops to take a photograph of a beautiful valley,
suddenly the ground disappears underneath his feet
and he falls down the valley, breaking his leg.
No contact with the world.
Fortunately he has his trusty watch with him,
which he hoped he never would have to use
- He activate the transmitter and awaits help.
Somewhere a rescue station receives a transmission
on an emergency frequency, they pinpoint the location
and send out a rescue team.
The photographer is saved!
